Affirmations

We create what we believe.

If you want to change what you believe why not try affirmations to dispel limiting thoughts? An affirmation is a thought used to reframe the way we think about things. Affirmations are used to reprogram negative belief structures such as, “I am to blame” by replacing them with positive thoughts. Why not replace blame with acceptance? Affirmations work by retraining neural pathways in the brain. Old patterns move along a well-worn neural pathway. Affirmations retrain your thought patterns along new neural pathways. It changes the energy behind a belief.

If an affirmation isn’t given enough time to establish a new neural pathway, we automatically slip into the old neural pathways – we slip back into old patterns.

We all make mistakes. There’s no point punishing ourselves every time we slip up. Mistakes are opportunities to learn. The problem lies in our response to situations. Affirmations help us by changing the way we respond to things by reprogramming a negative belief with a positive response.

Focus your thoughts on what you want to attract in life and use your inner power to create it.

You must understand that whatever you want to manifest cannot be put in a bubble, you have to live it and believe it as if it has already happened. If you just say, “I want or I will,” you are actually saying that you already don’t believe in it as a reality, that it doesn’t exist. But if you go through the process of saying positive things such as “I am”, that puts you and your dream into the present. Make the affirmation active – what you want is already happening.

A lot of people do affirmations but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will work in every case. You also have to take the individual karma into consideration. On the one hand you have free will and the power to direct that free will the way you want to and on the other hand you have karma. Sometimes the energy of your karma is so strong it can over-ride free will.

I have seen people who do affirmations to win a million dollars. They go out and buy their tickets and direct their thoughts to it. If it is not your karma to win – that is to say that is not on your soul’s true path – then it probably won’t happen. If you decide you are going to make it happen then there has to be a re-balancing. You might get something that you want but you will lose something of equal value in another area of your life.

A word of caution - be careful not to create affirmations designed to influence other people’s lives unless your affirmation comes unconditionally. Never try to override someone’s free will.

Allow time for affirmations to work. Repeat your affirmations daily until the new belief has set in. How long it takes for a new belief to take hold varies from person to person. Some people find that doing affirmations for seven days works well; some people need to do them for seventy days.

Archetypes

The word archetype means original pattern or form. An archetype is a theme, motif or idea that universally represents the fundamental expression, or psyche, of the unconscious mind. Archetypal imagery weaves a powerful yet subtle web through the collective consciousness linking each soul through shared primordial memory in the same manner DNA links us to our ancestors – we are individuals but we share some common traits. Archetypes are innate in the human psyche. Archetypal themes are expressed in everyday culture, in art, myth, literature and religions and especially in dreams where the conscious meets the unconscious. By exploring the universal themes presented by archetypes we gain a valuable insight into the world of the psyche.

The concept of archetypes was explored in ancient times to help people understand the polarity and duality of human nature. Basic themes exploring things such as creation myth were rich in archetypal imagery. Gods and goddess are classical archetypes in such myths for example a goddess in Egyptian, Greek and Roman lore represented the earth mother. In indigenous cultures such as American Indian tribes and the nomadic Aborigines of Australia “spirits” or “ancestors” represent archetypes. They too share the concept of earth mother in their belief system. The archetypal earth mother is intrinsically built into humanity’s psyche. Does it really come as any surprise that different cultures, some existing in isolation, developed very similar archetypes? These archetypes may go by different names and they may manifest in a different form but in essence archetypal imagery is universal.

The cosmologies of ancient cultures reveal similar perspectives on the creation of the earth. The creation myth of the ancient Egyptians reveals how Atum “the not yet completed one, who will attain (completion)” created our world. However, priests of Ptah claim that Ptah was the original creator.
The Hebrews describe the universal creator as “All that is” while Zeus represented the godhead for the ancient Greeks and so forth. The ancients looked to the heavens and to the gods to understand the natural forces and processes on our planet and to explain how we came into being.

Each God and Goddess represented the polarity of human nature and the duality that exists in our conscious expression of self. Some Gods epitomise the positive traits of mankind such as Love, Strength, Discernment, while others personified the negative traits such as Greed, Hate, Evil and so on. People sought guidance from a god or goddess for each matter.

An ancient Greek wouldn’t pray to Hades for help with love matters. The person would pray to Aphrodite. This method of working with the symbology of the archetypal Gods and Goddess provided an avenue for the focus of our thoughts and energies to change something.

Other archetypal figures are revealed in many civilisations as Hero’s and Heroines. In ancient Greek heroes such as Ulysses are of magnificent statures, living an idealised existence. The gods encourage them to perform mighty deeds.
In India in the Bhagavad-Gita heroes are woven into the mythical material. Celtic and Nordic myth magic and the supernatural enter constantly just as in ancient Greek myths. Gods and Heroes, Goddess and Heroines personify our potential and our weaknesses.

These archetypal symbols come through to us in our dreams, sometimes in the form we perceive them to be or in everyday people. The point is that it is the symbols evoked by the various strangers we meet in our dream work just as effectively as the original archetype. The other symbols in our dreams deal with everyday objects such as a car, a spider, a huge wave and so on. Symbols work through both the sub-conscious and conscious mind. Whereas in dreams the sub-conscious mind is expressing itself and connected the symbols, our conscious mind deals with everyday symbols that are archetypal but may not be recognised as archetypal.

An example of some classic archetypes is the animus and anima.

Animus and Anima
The Jungian terms ‘Animus’ and ‘Anima’ refer to the universal contra sexual aspect of the human psyche. The masculine aspect of the female’s psyche is the animus and the female aspect of the male’s psyche is called anima. Each of us represent the psychological characteristic of the opposite sex to a degree and this is actually considered a healthy part of conscious ego development. Social conditioning significantly influences how we view masculine/feminine characteristics.
Animus/anima dreams often deal with the subject of love and desire and highlight all that is attractive, divine and erotic about our own unconscious contra sexual aspect. If you dream you’ve fallen in love with your best friend’s husband then your unconscious is revealing your own contra sexual side projected onto another person. There is also a spiritual component to Animus/anima dreams.
The negative aspects of the animus/anima figures highlights an unconscious hostility within the self – it could part of us we don’t love or like and we project our anger and fear into the animus/anima figures in our dream.

Belief Structures

A belief is a pattern of thought upon which we base our behaviour. Some of these patterns could be described as positive, or useful, while other patterns we deem negative or restrictive. These patterns – adopted from family, culture, and education, even past lives – can either help or hinder our soul’s desire.

Belief patterns are created during the formative years of early childhood until independent thinking occurs. At this stage in life children gain a sense of security from routine and patterns provided by their parents. The family unit is a basic sort of tribal group of people who share a bond, a sense of loyalty, security and identity and social cohesion. Family members and friends share an ideal or way of life and children draw a picture of life from what they see and hear.

You develop patterns when you are a little child because you unconsciously absorb what your environment is teaching you and you then express this later on in life. Children learn to recognise right from wrong, good from bad. Constant reinforcement about a certain belief creates a pattern. If all little Joey ever hears from his parents’ is, “You are a very bad little boy for doing that. You know what happens to bad boys, don’t you? Nobody likes them,” he will eventually believe that he is bad and no one will like him. Once you believe in something, especially a negative thought pattern, you eventually end up creating situations to perpetuate your belief, a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. The same can be said for a positive belief pattern. Believe it enough and you will create it.

Start to look at your family beliefs and behavioural patterns. What do you do that your mother and father did? What holds you back from being what you want to be? How many of your beliefs exist because, “that’s just what I was brought up to think.”

We are what we believe we have to be. Our belief structures make sure of this. But it doesn’t have to be this way. When you start to recognise and bring awareness to your belief structures your position changes in respect to them. Remember we create what we believe.

If you want to change what you believe why not try affirmations to dispel limiting thoughts. An affirmation is a thought used to reframe the way we think about things. Affirmations are used to reprogram negative belief structures such as “I am to blame” by replacing them with positive thoughts. Why not replace blame with acceptance? Affirmations work by retraining neural pathways in the brain. Old patterns move along a well-worn neural pathway. Affirmations retrain your thought patterns along new neural pathways. It changes the energy behind a belief.

Clairvoyance

We tend to see things how we want to see them rather than how they actually are, so we often misinterpret signals, miss bits of information. We rely on our senses, our hands, our eyes – which are wonderful for knowing when something feels hot, don’t touch – but when it comes to relationships, when it comes to your own inner journey, these senses just aren’t enough. They are designed to help you monitor what is going on in your environment but they can’t tell you what is going on inside.

Clairvoyance means clear sight, to see things more clearly and have better comprehension – the third eye is the seat of psychic ability. This chakra opens the line of communication between you, your spirit guides and higher forms of guidance.

A clairvoyant sees pictures in their third eyes and these pictures provide glimpses of what has happened, what is happening or what is about to happen. How? The third eye chakra allows them to traverse the space/time continuum. You know how the cable networks have certain channels you can’t access unless you pay for the extra bandwidth; it is the same with your third eye.

The third eye gives you an unlimited selection of different channels and frequencies. What determines the selection of channels is the level of your energy. The more work you do on refining your chakras, and raising the vibration of your aura, the broader the bandwidth.

Each chakra has a direct connection to an endocrine gland. The third eye has a connection to the pituitary gland – the master controller for the whole endocrine system. When you open up the third eye, the pituitary and pineal glands activate deeper parts of your brain, and that allows for extra processing abilities and perceptual changes. Lots of people refer to this processing ability as extra-sensory perception or the sixth sense. If your vibration is at the right frequency you can tune into the spirit world and get a clearer vision of how things should be or potential outcomes for your future.

In everyday reality certain psychic channels are open. Sometimes people see a few more channels, perhaps they are born seeing auras, but they don’t usually know where they come from.
Some psychics have the ability to make accurate predictions but they don’t know how or why. The channel has always been open. Some of them aren’t even aware of the existence of spirit guides or how the third eye works. They just get the information and leave it at that.

Other clairvoyants open their 3rd eye to access their spirit guides and other ethereal beings in the astral or to look at the akashic records which holds records of all events – past, present and future. By opening their channel clairvoyants can look at potential futures. I say potential futures because we still have the free will to change something that is yet to happen. But we cannot change the outcome of all future events because sometimes our karma is so strong that a particular lesson will come our way whether we like it or not.

Collective Consciousness

The collective consciousness is an energetic lower astral realm comprised of every thought, feeling and action taken and experienced by mankind through the ages. It is an interesting realm in as far as it holds all of our hopes and dreams but it also harbours our deepest pain and fear and it is this realm we initially tap into for our inspiration, ideas and direction. Most people aren’t aware that a purer source of inspiration and direction is available from the collective unconsciousness so they continue working from the collective consciousness.
Most people tap into the collective consciousness, although they may not be aware they are doing it and this can affect the nature of their dreams.

The interplay between the collective unconsciousness and the collective consciousness and mankind is subtle yet complex. The collective unconsciousness filters information down from the cosmic unconsciousness into the collective consciousness. Transversely, information in the collective consciousness filters up into the collective unconsciousness, the exchange of information moving like an intricate dance, constantly evolving. The collective unconsciousness is a creative realm of potentiality holding archetypal energies, inspiration, akashic records and expressions of divine will.

Colour

Colour is a frequency of energy identified by the brain through optical sight. Everything in the universe is an expression of a unique vibration. We are an expression of light, a luminous vibration of the soul. Every particle of our being is renewed daily by a constant stream of radiant light from the creator. The colours of the aura change from day to day reflecting the state of our inner reality. Clear, bright colours reflect health and vitality. The presence of dark murky colours indicates the presence of energetic blocks, illness or disease.

Colour influences people’s psychological and physiological wellbeing because colour has tone and rhythm. For example, yellow, which is the predominant colour of the mental body and the solar plexus chakra, has a rhythm that stimulates mental thought processes and assists the “I”, or the Will, find power to direct its expression. People with predominantly yellow auras tend to negotiate life via the intellect, often neglecting to draw in the balancing effects of the emotional body.
The colour yellow can be used therapeutically to stimulate the solar plexus chakra that is linked at the physical level to the major digestive nerve plexus in the same region or to stimulate the intellect.

As a general rule colours such as red, orange and yellow are warm colours. When feeling the base, spleen and solar plexus chakras, you’ll notice they feel warm because they have a slower vibration than the higher chakras since these colours resonate more closely to the physical plane. Colours such as green, blue, indigo and violent, the respective colours of the heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown chakras are cool colours, which feel lighter because they resonate to the higher vibration associated with the metaphysical realm.

An example of the use of colour for the treatment of specific diseases/chakra consciousness is as follows:
COLOUR CHAKRA ENERGIES DISEASES AFFECTED
VIOLET Crown Chakra Higher Mind Nervous & Mental Disorders
INDIGO 3rd Eye Chakra Vision Disorders of the Eye
BLUE Throat Chakra Self-expression Thyroid & Laryngeal Diseases
GREEN Heart Chakra Inner Harmony Heart Disease & Hypertension
YELLOW Solar Plexus Intellectual Stimulation Disorders of Stomach, Pancreas & Liver
ORANGE Spleen Chakra Assimilation & Circulation Disorders of Lungs & Kidneys
RED Root Chakra Vitality, Creativity Blood Disorders, Animas

Crystals

Ancient Mesopotamians and Egyptians recognised the value of crystals more than 6000 years ago. Crystals were used for decorative purposes in architecture, personal effects and so forth but more importantly, they were used to enhance spirituality. The Sumerians recognised the astrological importance of the planets and worked with the understanding that crystals correlated with the vibration of these planets through colour association. Therefore, pearls (whitish) symbolised the moon while crystals with a reddish hue worked with Mars, green crystals for Venus, blue crystals for Mercury, violet hue crystals for Saturn, pale blue crystals for Jupiter and Yellow crystals naturally enough for the Sun.

Most crystals are in fact minerals with unique vibrations. Adepts work with crystals because crystals amplify energy – they are frequency-specific and therefore can be used for healing, balancing chakras, gaining focus and clarity, psychic protection and so forth.

Types of Crystals

Channeling crystals have seven edges surrounding the largest sloping face and they are extremely useful in drawing in information and knowledge from the universe. One must recognise that information via these crystals comes from many sources and it’s best to work with your intuition to acknowledge the source especially from our guides. Information channelled through this crystal can only be used on yourself. It can’t be stored and used by someone else because this crystal amplifies messages from your own guides. However, you can always obtain answers for your friend from your crystal.

Twin crystals have two terminations (points) at the same end that have developed from a single base. These crystals are exactly parallel to each other and they have no boundary between them. Twin crystals can generate very positive energy towards improving relationships. This type of crystal will be closely tuned in to your energy.  Isis crystals amplify feminine/goddess energy. This nurturing crystal has five edges surrounding the largest sloping face and they help use balance our masculine/feminine ratio (in cases of too much masculine energy). These crystals are beneficial in emotional situations and work well with anyone conducting healing work where feminine energy is required.

Double terminated crystals have points on both ends which means energy can flow readily in both directions. Double terminated are very useful when you need to share or exchange energy between you and another person. These crystals help strengthen the flow of energy so they can be used in any situation where a mutual flow of energy is required such as in a counselling session or during a massage session. These crystals can help you tune into the other person and find out what they need “energetically” and help your direct this energy to them. Double terminators also teach us how to share through energy exchange.

Grounding crystals have eight edges surrounding the largest sloping face and are quite rare. They help us “ground” ourselves by connecting us with mother earth. These crystals help us to look at the truth of an issue or situation. Grounding crystals also help us to concentrate and deal with an issue.

Window crystals have a small diamond shaped face that takes the place of one of the corners where two of the parallel faces usually meet the corresponding two sloping faces. These crystals help us reflect on the inner self in order to recognise and deal with issues that need to be dealt with. Window crystals are very personal crystals that help you uncover your soul purpose.

Record keepers are rare crystals that have a pyramid shaped indention or elevation that appears to be etched on one of the sloping faces. They will definitely find you when you’re ready. These crystals teach us a necessary lesson at a certain point in our life and once the lesson is learnt we can pass this crystal on. It will have done its’ job.

Rainbow crystals have a rainbow reflected from within the crystal. They are useful meditation crystals that help you access the subconscious. Rainbow crystals help lift up your mood and they help remove negative energy from a room. If you use this crystal to clear negativity always remember to clear it afterwards. One method is to rest the crystal on amethyst for a short while or to place it in the sun for a short period of time.

Crystals with babies have tiny crystals growing inside a larger crystal. These crystals help us access blocked memories from a traumatic childhood issue. They work by aiding us to bring an issue to the surface so it can be dealt with but without the associated pain and trauma attached to the issue. Crystals with babies must be used to deal with problems at a slow pace and are great to use with family problems.

Self-healing and Phantom crystals: A self-healed crystal is one that has been broken off and damaged quite badly, but then begins to grow again. A phantom is a crystal that has had some impurity drop on it during growth, but then continues to grow right around the impurity. They help us heal emotional injuries and pain.

Clusters: These represent community and are very powerful at clearing any negative energy from a room. These are great crystals to use to clear residual energy from your environment.

Déjà vu

We have all felt déjà vu – the sense of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time in this life.

That feeling of déjà vu we get from time to time surfaces when something triggers cellular memory of a similar past life situation. A memory is a pattern of resonating energy. Present day memories are imprints, patterns of energy stored within cellular memory of the DNA in every cell of the human body and also within specific locations within the chakra system.

They serve as a link to the past, a thread connecting us in the now with events occurring in previous incarnations. These memories fit together forming a sequence stringing together the journey of the soul through history. Memories brought forward from past lives are usually memories of unresolved issues. In saying this however, not all past life memory is associated with problematic issues. Some very pleasant and positive past-life memories are stored in the body to help us form a bond with a twin soul, or a soul mate because of the lovely association conjured up by the memory or to highlight a specific lesson for the soul. Generally speaking though, the majority of past-life memories are a collection of unresolved issues brought forward by the soul.

Sometimes we have precognitive dreams – dreams in which see a future event and when that event actually happens in our waking life we experience déjà vu.

Dreams

The language of the subconscious mind is symbolism. Each symbol is a message; each dream is a story. Learn to read your own story. Your Higher Self is talking to you, supplying you with the “road map” of your life. All we need to do is stop, listen and then act on advice offered. Think of a dream as a story written in a different language. At first, like any language, this appears complicated but with practice, it becomes quite easy and unlike other languages there is less room for misinterpretation or interference from your intellect.

Dreams are the symbolic language of the soul. During dreams the Higher Self and your spirit guides get some quality time to draw your attention to what your soul desires and to look at life issues that are holding you back from reaching your true potential. So in essence dreams are more than a clearing-house for the sub-conscious mind. Instead of thinking of the subconscious as just an aspect of your brain, see it as connected to your whole energy being.

Dreams are a universal phenomenon – we all have them, even animals. There is more than one type of dream and most people have about five dreams a night, although a significant number of people claim they don’t dream at all or find it difficult to remember their dreams. Studies have shown that people claiming they don’t dream actually reveal brain wave patterns and eye movements “intense burst of dreaming observed through the night” and that most of us spend at least one to one and a half hours a night dreaming.

What happens to the aura during dreams? Every night when you sleep, the astral body slips across to the other side. During this period the astral body remains connected by a silver ethereal cord to the physical body, so it is never lost. Sometimes you can feel this process; it feels like you are slipping or falling. Every now and then you might find yourself looking down at yourself sleeping before moving into the astral planes. And occasionally when the astral body returns too quickly to the body you get that jumping sensation as you wake up. The astral body moves through various dimensional realities in the astral which means you can move through the past, present or future with ease and have multi-layered experiences that transcend the normal realm of reality represented in the 3 dimensional world.

Metaphysicians focus on their dreams because they know the astral body is visiting its spiritual home during this period so they are keenly aware of their environment. When you next dream ask yourself, “Where am I?” Are you consciously aware that you are dreaming? Are you having a lucid experience where you’re in control or are you just flowing aimlessly in the dream? Can you tell if you’re moving through the past, present or future? Do you know all the people you meet in your dreams? Are total strangers really strangers or do they have a very real connection to you? Have you ever considered that some of these strangers could be soul connected?

Many of them are in fact your own spirit guides, twin souls and soul mates - spirit guides seeking to help you or twin souls and soul mates working through their own issues, such as past life issues, with you in the astral. Some strangers you encounter during dreams are facets of us – a projection of a vital component of the self, manifesting our deeper fears, restrictions and belief patterns needing to be addressed. For example, if you find yourself going down a dark staircase and a shadowy figure is following you, what your soul is trying to tell you is that part of you is ready to look at a deep subconscious issue (symbolised by going down the stairs) but part of you is hesitant and doesn’t want to see the issue (shadow following you symbolises the aspect of yourself you don’t want to look at).

Lucid dreams are dreams we know we’re having - the astral body chooses where we need to go and we actively interface with the dream at a very deep level and this allows us to derive so much more information while dreaming because we have so much more control over the direction of the dream. Most people however only have lucid dreams occasionally. For most, dreams are an incoherent jumble of unrelated images and bizarre events. That is, of course, until they learn to see dreams for what they are.

Duality

We are a binary system – two parts of the one. This duality within us is reflected in nature. Night and day, summer and winter, positive and negative, masculine and feminine, active and receptive energy; the inner polarity pushes and pulls us this way and that. Moving up along the spine and interweaving through the chakras are three channels of energy – the sushumna line and the ida (feminine) and pingala (masculine) channels. The ida and pingala carry masculine and feminine energy through the entire chakra system. Is there balance between the masculine and the feminine aspects of the self or does one aspect speak louder than the other in certain situations? Does your masculine self come out in the workplace or in intimate relationships? Think for a moment about the masculine and feminine traits you’ve inherited or adopted from your parents. How do these traits influence your reactions in relationships?

Ego

The lower three chakras are often said to make up the ego, the tangible sense of self. The upper chakras represent the realms of perception - they are less ego-specific, less identified with self, they transcend physical conceptions.

The solar plexus chakra projects personal “will” therefore it is the centre for the projection of the ego – the “I” or “self”.

The consciousness of the “I” or “self” is the individualisation of the soul expressed through the personality. Inherent personality flaws, as well as strengths, define the boundaries of the self. Just as genes in DNA define the colour of your eyes and hair, karma defines many of your personal characteristics.

The role of the ego is the projection of the self as defined by the soul’s karmic blueprint. From birth the “I” sees the world through its own unique eyes and relates to the world from a space of “I want” and “I need”. This satisfies the ego’s need to make things concrete and real; it gives it a sense of solid space. By holding on to belief structures - patterns developed from various stages in life - the ego is the part of us that struggles with the concept of self, self-love and self-esteem and the part of us that maintains illusion. This illusion is what keeps us separated from our divinity.

I like to think of the ego as the “go-between” because it stands between the conscious mind and the soul. In a bid to protect its space the ego tries to filter the amount of soul essence emanating into the conscious mind, which is why we often feel incomplete.

The spiritual journey is about becoming enlightened. Enlightenment is about moving past individuality, to connect and become as one with “All that Is”. This is the biggest threat to the ego – the loss of its individuality. One of the hardest things to do is to detach from the expression of our own identity.

If your lower and higher self is kept separate, how can you develop your soul potential? The basic tenet of an unbalanced ego is to keep us from finding our “truth of self”.

Energy

Earth and Universal Energy

All life is an expression of energy manifesting. Every thing, every one, every thought, every action, every feeling is energy. Energy is always moving, never static. And each particle in this universe, including human beings, has its own unique vibration or signature, a kind of energetic blueprint or pattern that expresses harmonious evolution.

Western science now regards matter as empty space with lines of energy running though it at different velocities – energy fields radiating out to the furthest reaches of the universe and connecting with other energy fields in the process.

As spiritual beings we are dependent upon two forms of energy – earth and universal energy. The term earth energy refers to the invisible field of electromagnetic energy surrounding the planet. This energy keeps us grounded in the physical plane helping us maintain the right perceptual framework to function properly in the three-dimensional world we live in.

Indigenous cultures have long held the view that the earth is our living and breathing mother and we have a symbiotic relationship with her. They give great reverence to the planet through ritual and ceremony, celebrating and giving back to our ‘mother’ for all that is provided. They understand that she provides us with more than just food and water for our bodies. She also provides for our soul.

The earth’s magnetic field has measurable fluctuations called Schumann waves. These waves fluctuate between 7.8 – 8hz. Dr Robert Beck, a nuclear physicist, conducted research around the world into the correlation of these magnetic waves with the brain-wave patterns of healers. He looked at such individuals as spiritual healers, Hawaiian kahunas, Christian faith healers, psychics and wiccans. Beck measured the healers during healing sessions and discovered that they displayed the same brain-wave pattern of 7.8 – 8hz regardless of the healing modality used.
What was even more surprising is that Beck found that these healers’ brain waves became both frequency- and phase-synchronized with the earth’s Schumann waves.

This research is important to metaphysicians because of its scientific findings. Healers’ brain-wave pulses are not simply the same frequency as the earth’s Schumann waves, but more importantly they pulsed at the same times as earth’s Schumann waves! This means that a healer may tap into the earth’s electromagnetic grid and use this energy in the healing session. This is termed, ‘field coupling’.
The work of another researcher, Dr Puharich, showed that a magnetic pulse measuring 8hz was emitted from the hands of healers. Therefore, not only does the earth’s electromagnetic grid connect into and ground people on the physical plane, it can also be employed to facilitate healing.

Any significant fluctuation in the earth’s electromagnetic grid inevitably impacts all of humanity. This grid, which transverses the entire planet, affects humans because the human brain contains magnetite.

Scientists investigating the phenomena in relation to the human brain have discovered that “magnetite crystals turn the bacteria into swimming needles that orient with respect to the earth’s magnetic fields. Magnetite has also been found in animals that navigate by compass direction, such as bees, birds, and fish” Einstein described matter as part of the electromagnetic field, and electric energy is therefore the fundamental origin of the physical world. The Aura is the electromagnetic bio-field that surrounds the physical body; therefore, changes in earth’s electromagnetism duly impact our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self. This also explains why, whenever there is a shift in the earth’s electromagnetism, both wildlife and humans experience short periods of chaos.

Recently scientists, conducting experiments on soils from political and social hot spots around the planet, discovered these soils contain considerably high levels of magnetism compared to soils examined in different locations. The reason for political and social turmoil, which in itself may be of karmic origin, is that peak levels of magnetism in the soil disrupt the brain causing people to become confused, aggressive and to display irrational behaviour at times. It could be added that electromagnetic shifts can be considered part of the evolutionary process of humans because the energy of the shift raises the vibration of people’s consciousness.

Earth energy keeps us grounded in the physical reality. This versatile energy can also be harnessed to create positive changes in the Aura. For example, it can be directed to clear congested energy within the chakras and the aura.

Universal energy is derived from fohat and akashic rays which create ether that in turns creates the elements of earth, water, fire and air. The origin of this energy is the universal creator. It is sent forth to permeate all dimensions of reality throughout the universe.
Universal energy is the life force behind everything that exists within the spiritual and physical world. This limitless energy is the energy of creation and the energy of manifestation. It is constantly flowing forth, creating new worlds, life forms and realities in our constantly expanding universe. Universal energy cannot be destroyed. It transmutes from one state to another simply by altering its vibration from one frequency to another.

Etheric energy is vital to our make-up because we are essentially beings of light dwelling within in a physical body. The aura is, in fact, our true self. It actually sets up the blueprint for the creation of the physical body prior to conception. In order to sustain a physical body we require the input of both universal and earth energy. These energies are absorbed through the chakra system and then distributed through every cell of the physical body. Universal energy can be used to connect us to the astral realm and to other dimensional realities.

Entity attachment

There are instances where lost souls literally ‘attach’ themselves to other people’s auras. The reason they do this varies – sometimes it’s because they are lost and scared and feel secure hanging on to someone else’s energy; sometimes it’s because they want to attach to them for much more subversive reasons. Please note that lost soul attachment are not that common and in most cases can be easily remedied.

A primary attachment occurs when a lost soul can find itself attracted to someone’s aura – it could be because their energy feels good or they radiate a sense of comfort and security or basically because they happen to there and the lost soul decides to follow them home. The lost soul ‘tags’ on to this person, living outside the aura itself but near enough to draw a sense of security from it. They might decide to hang around for a short period of time or stay attached for a number of years. There is no real danger at this level of attachment, think of it as co-inhabiting a very close space together. The only thing is that while the lost soul knows it’s hanging around, the recipient may be totally ignorant of what is happening.
It’s not uncommon to find drug addicts and alcoholics with this type of attachment because their auras are so open and exposed. The lost soul can jump in, feel their ‘high’ and jump out again to avoid the aftermath of the ‘high’.

Some people attract lost souls inadvertently through their actions as in the case of teenagers using ouiji boards to call on spirits. The reason they attract lost souls is because their vibration is usually low in the sense they haven’t worked on refining their chakras and the aura and therefore the only level of ‘spirit’ they can attract is one with a similar vibration either at a spirit guide level or lower hence the problem with lost souls.
Primary attachments are relatively easy to remove.

A secondary attachment is an invasive attachment that occurs when a lost soul, who has been hanging around someone’s aura for a while, finds a way of connecting to their throat chakra and gains entry into the aura itself. Lost souls that attempt secondary attachments know they no longer have a physical body and are much more aware of what is going on compared to most lost souls. If left unchecked eventually they move down the chakra system attaching to the base chakra. At this point the lost soul is firmly embedded within the recipient’s aura and is literally becoming part of that person, feeding off their thoughts and feelings. This type of attachment is problematic at a number of levels, in particular where the lost soul feeds it’s own thoughts into its host, directing their actions.
Some people diagnosed as schizophrenic technically aren’t schizophrenic because they’re not suffering from a chemical imbalance or mental illness per se; rather they have a secondary attachment imposing its will upon them. The voice, or voices, they hear in their heads doesn’t come from severe paranoia but from the lost soul itself.

Secondary attachments can be dealt with but they tend to be much more complicated than primary attachments because the recipient may have formed a bond with the lost soul, or they don’t feel that they can left go of what’s become familiar even though it’s causing them acute problems.

Intuition

Intuition is a sense of knowing without question. When you work with intuition you don’t use your rational mind, or even your emotional self, to make a decision. It is your higher aspect making the choice and it makes it without weighing a whole lot of factors that very often detract from the truth.

When you start questioning or examining something it is the logical mind interfering. Intuition is like moving into the centre of the road – the logical mind is on one side and emotional reality is on the other, but the truth is right here.

Intuition can really help you make decisions but it won’t give you the reason behind your decisions. You just get a feeling that something is right or something is wrong. You then move into your mental states and intellectualise and rationalise.

Many people get stuck making a decision because they are trying to weigh up the pros and cons – but if you look at the process rationally it doesn’t help you make up your mind, because for every pro there is a con.

Intuition is excellent because it is just a feeling, and feeling is simply the result of an exchange of energy – knowing without knowing - it doesn’t need a reason – a year later you may realise why the decision was right or why it wasn’t right. That’s how intuition can become very valuable.

Journey of the soul

The journey of the soul is the journey to self-actualisation. This process gains momentum as each successive chakra, from the base chakra through to the crown chakra, is awakened to full consciousness. The soul, once fully cognizant of its self, can move on to explore the infinite world of spirit.

Judgment and discernment

Some people like to think they have a monopoly on wisdom. They like to feel that they are in a moral position to question somebody else’s action despite the fact they may not have all the facts or understand that person’s true motives and feelings. Criticising someone is easy to do, understanding and accepting their actions for what they are is an entirely different ball game because it requires empathy and discernment.

People who readily judge others often feel inadequate within themselves, so to deflect attention away from their inadequacies they search for faults in others. To compensate for having an under- extended base and solar plexus chakra they put other people down to boost themselves up. The idea that there are inferior people out there feeds the unbalanced ego. Racial, political and religious judgement has created second-class citizens and triggered wars because the collective consciousness of a group or race of people is based on the need to project a feeling of superiority at the expense of others.

Judgement comes from a myopic view of the world; it cuts people off from connecting with others because they can’t see eye to eye or appreciate a different way of looking at or doing things. Discernment is a much more balanced approach because it allows people to weigh up differences, reference their own motivation and put things into perspective.

Karma

The force shaping the evolution of each soul on earth is the universal Law of Causation. This force permeates every aspect of physical and spiritual life, binding our past to our future. This process of interrelationships is also known as karma.

Karma is the cohesive force of all manifestation that guides the laws of cause and effect on the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical planes of existence. The force of cause and effect operates from moment to moment, year after year, through successive lifetimes

Karma is a complex and easily misunderstood concept. The fundamental principle of karma is that for every action there is reaction. Unfortunately some people take a very literal view of karma, believing it to be some sort of cosmic retribution system. Hardly. Karma is a neutral force which simply brings into action the Law of Causality under the directive of the soul’s own consciousness. In other words we create and perpetuate our own karma every time we make a choice. Like the Christian adage, “You reap what you sow”. You might not necessarily reap everything you sow in one lifetime; sometimes it carries over to the next life as well. This is simply because if you have not sufficiently dealt with the issue in this life then the pattern you’ve created from the issue or situation is carried forward energetically so your soul has the opportunity to deal with it in a future life.

When you incarnate you bring forward certain memories of things left unresolved in a previous life. Part of your karma is to redress these problems if you want to.

Past life work simply helps you understand some of your characteristics that may not stem from your environment. For example: you may have an irrational fear towards something - a violent aversion to dogs or water, but you never been bitten by a dog or had a drowning experience.
There are certain fears or traits whose origins we don’t understand that become a key to some part in our development. Many times if you look you will find there is a past life association.

Besides emotional patterns, physical illness can also be carried forward from a past life. It may well be your karma to carry the recessive genes of a hereditary illness such as heart problems or diabetes. If the gene is there, there is a strong likelihood you are meant to experience this illness. Obviously your free will can change the nature of a disease, or in the very least, how well you handle it.

Lost Souls

A lost soul is a discarnate being trapped either in the lowest level of the astral plane or in the physical dimension. A soul is called a ‘lost soul’ because part of the soul – the astral body to be exact - is literally separated from the soul at the point of death of the physical body. The astral body contains the etheric, emotional and mental body consciousness. Death is usually caused by sudden impact in situations like car accidents, electrocution and falling, any accident where death is unexpectedly swift. People who’ve committed suicide or who are reluctant to go to the light when they die can also become lost souls. This does not mean that every one who dies accidentally or commits suicide automatically becomes a lost soul because this clearly isn’t the case. Some people become lost souls and others find the light and cross over within a short period of time. This depends upon a number of factors.

Since the cause of death is, in most cases, accidental, the soul isn’t fully prepared for its transition to the astral realm. Under normal circumstances the soul begins leaving the physical body three days prior to death with the transition being fully completed three days after death. During the three days prior to death the chakras start closing down depriving the physical body of its vital life force thereby facilitating physical death in accordance with the souls karma which is determined either by pre-birth karma or karma created by free will. At this point the spiritual body gradually separates from the rest of the soul and returns to its place of origin or the next level up in the astral.
Over the next few days the mental and emotional bodies gradually lift and separate from the physical body and realign with the spiritual body in the astral realm. During the three-day period after death the chakras shut down completely and the last auric body, the etheric body, severs its connection with the body and also returns home. At this point the full transition of the soul is complete.

However, the death process is disrupted in sudden death situations. The term sudden death refers to circumstances where death is caused by sudden impact and the soul hasn’t started its transition. Death by impact traumatizes the soul, misaligning the astral body in a similar manner to the way an extreme emotional trauma can cause the misalignment of the emotional body. In time the emotional body realigns itself after a trauma but the astral body doesn’t have the same opportunity to realign itself after a sudden death and consequently becomes stuck in the physical dimension or in the lowest level of the astral.

The astral body is ‘lost’ in the lower dimensional realm, separated from the rest of the soul that returns to its rightful place of origin in one of the upper stratums of the 1st or 2nd astral planes. While the spiritual body remains in tact, going through its soul debriefing process in the astral realm, the astral body containing the ego – the sense of ‘self’ or the ‘I’ associated with base, spleen and solar plexus chakra consciousness doesn’t go through the post-death debriefing process. Instead, the ego, thinking its still attached to the physical body (not realizing that it is dead) wanders around the physical world, or the 1st level of the 1st astral plane – the realm of lost souls and lower astral beings.

Not fully cognizant of its separation from the rest of the soul, the astral body holds on to the illusion that it’s whole - thinking, feeling and operating in a body made of flesh and blood just like everybody else. We are what we believe we are. A lost soul believes he or she is real, so they are real but this is an illusion because they don’t have an actual body anymore and they don’t even realise they’re out of synchronicity with life in the physical world because they’re operating outside the time/space continuum.
Lost souls have no concept of real time. Fifty years can feel like a day because time has lost its definition, its reference, so someone who died 100 years ago may think it’s still 1902 because that’s his or her individual paradigm; their time frame is frozen. That’s the reality they choose to hold on to because it’s the only reality they know so they see the same old buildings and people dressed in the same old clothes worn in 1902. They’re literally stuck in a time warp. However, not all lost souls maintain that illusion, some notice environmental changes – they see new buildings going up, fashion changing, technology moving on but it still feels like 1902. Time hasn’t changed.

Since lost souls believe they still have a human body they continually draw past experience up from their memory bank within the etheric body to support their paradigm. Remember, the etheric body is a holographic template so every memory experienced during their life is stored in the energy matrix of the etheric body and this information is used to construct and maintain their reality of the world, as they know it.
This world feels real enough and they feel real enough. They walk and talk and carry on as though they are still physically intact and continue living, as they’ve always lived as a human being. But this is only a projection of the lower self’s will since the rest of the soul consciousness, the higher self, has moved on to the next stage of its evolutionary journey.

Case study

When Sue and Stephen moved into an old inner city terrace they had no idea the house had a secret. After a few months of living in the house Sue started feeling uncomfortable, her instinct told her something was wrong but she couldn’t put a finger on it. Every night as she walked passed the narrow landing to get to the toilet she sensed someone or something was trying to throw her down the stairs. Obviously this couldn’t be the case because there was no one on the landing. But, night after night the same thing kept happening – a cold hand would touch her arm and she couldn’t stop feeling as though something was trying to throw her down the stairs.
Fear gripped her. It scared her to walk down the same passage every night but there was nothing she could do. She couldn’t tell anyone about her fear because people would think she was mad so she kept quiet, enduring her private little hell.

One day she was sitting alone in her room doing a drawing. When she looked up from her picture she saw a man standing near her. Her heart missed a beat and she was about to scream at the stranger, shocked that he was in her room but he disappeared before she had a chance to say anything. Sue was confused – was he just an illusion, a figment of her imagination? But he looked real enough with his dark hair, a lined face and old-fashioned clothes. Eventually, rationally took over and put the incident out of her mind. Several days later not long after she’d entered the bedroom to do some drawings her watch fell off the bedside drawer. Startled, she looked at the watch on the floor, quickly rationalising it fell down because of delayed momentum from when she entered the room.
She returned her focus to her drawing but a few minutes later a shoe, which was near the dressing table flew across the room. Shaking her head in disbelief Sue froze on the spot, her mind searching for a logical excuse to explain what happened. She couldn’t find an excuse, there was no excuse – things just don’t fly across a room. Yet, they did, again and again and after the seventh object flew across the room in less than half an hour Sue couldn’t deny what was happening. She fled the house and caught the train to Stephen’s work and ran up to him and cried out, “Ghosts!”

Soon after three psychics came over to clear the house. Sue didn’t go into detail about whom or what was in the house only there was something upstairs in her bedroom. Rhondda and her two companions emerged an hour and a half later and called Sue and Stephen into the bedroom. The house had a sad secret. In 1912 a wharfie, his wife and daughter lived here.
It was his daughter’s birthday and she was excited and she was standing outside his bedroom asking him to buy her a tricycle because that’s all she wanted. They were standing on the landing near the stairs and she wouldn’t stop pestering him about the tricycle and he became agitated because he didn’t have enough money to buy his little girl what she wanted. Somehow, she pushed toward him and he went to push her back so he could pass but she lost her footing, tripped and fell down the stairs, dying in the middle of the staircase from a broken neck.
His wife heard the commotion and came rushing only to find her daughter dead on the stairs. Shocked and hysterical she ran to the top of the stairs, instinctively lunging at her husband. He tried to hold her back at arms length to explain what happened but she lost her footing, fell back and died on the stairs.

He died several months later, a broken man having never recovering from their deaths. It was his fault, his responsibility, he was guilty even though he didn’t mean for it to happen. So, when his guides came down in the light to collect him he didn’t want to go with them because he truly believed they were going to take him to hell as punishment for the death of his family.
Spirit guides cannot force you to come with them. The doorway to the astral was opened and they were ready to take him but they couldn’t make him come against his free will because guides cannot intervene. They have to respect our free will. The higher aspect of his soul went willingly but his astral body, his lower self chose to remain behind because he didn’t want to go to hell. Instead, he slipped into a timeless hell of his own – a place where no one could hear, see or help him.

It was 1987 but he still believed it was 1912 and he simply couldn’t understand why people kept moving into his house, ignoring him. Angry, frustrated and alone in his own home he felt totally lost in a reality that didn’t make sense. Eventually, when he saw Sue crossing the landing he reached out and grabbed her by the arm and tried to talk to her. He wanted someone to talk to, someone to listen to his story. But she ignored him night after night. Eventually, his anger reached the point where he learnt how to harness it and make things move – he could throw a shoe across the room. Surely she would pay attention to him now!

She did. When the strangers came they found him hiding in the anteroom. He put up a fight trying to throw punches at them because he didn’t want to go to hell. Lost souls can try to throuw punches, toss things but they can’t kill people. Rhondda and her companions called in the necessary angelic helpers and guides and asked that some family members, people he could recognise and trust, step forward from the light and explain to him what was happening. Once he realised he wasn’t going to hell he stepped into the light.

Rhondda told Sue the lost soul was trying to communicate to her in the only manner he could and that was energetically. He wasn’t trying to push her down the stairs he only wanted to explain what happened but she couldn’t understand this because all she could feel was his presence. He did manage to convey part of his story to her while she was drawing. Her spiritual body was receptive to his energy even though the rest of her dwelt in fear, effectively blocking out all communication with him. They searched her portfolio and there it was – a drawing of a mother with a six year old girl in her arms, tears running down their cheeks, shadows and stairs made from broken bones. Sue couldn’t listen to him in her waking state, but her spiritual body listened.

What happens to lost souls?

What happens to lost souls after death varies from individual to individual depending upon they way a lost soul thinks, feels and processes their experiences. Some souls are so traumatised by their experience they end up wandering aimlessly in the lowest level of the first astral plane. This plane closely resembles the physical plane because it is actually a holographic matrix of the physical world below much like the etheric body is the holographic matrix of the physical body.
These souls wander aimlessly because they don’t fully comprehend what has happened to them or understand where they are. Some lost souls think they’re in an endless dream and so they wander from place to place experiencing this so called ‘dream’. This may not seem so far fetched when one takes into consideration the fact that people are used to having strange, even bizarre dreams. That’s just the nature of the reality of dreams but then we wake up and we process our dream experience.

Lost souls don’t ‘wake up’ so to speak, they keep having their dream because time doesn’t exist where they are so there’s no reference point to allow them to determine the length of this dream and this is why they don’t question what they’re experiencing. They just keep having this endless dream until they decide to ask for angelic intervention or they meet up with a guide or angelic helper who draws their attention to the reality of their situation. If they choose to accept this information a doorway opens and they cross over to where they should be. If they choose to stay in denial then they continue their aimless walk until the next opportunity presents itself. Understand that even at this point spirit guides and angelic helpers cannot intervene against a soul’s free will – they can only offer help and respect their wishes.

Some souls end up wandering around in the physical dimension much like their counterpart in the lower astral realm. They have their dream like experience in very familiar ground on earth but they are equally beguiled by what’s really happening to them. And then you have lost souls who gravitate to their physical home or to a friends’ place – they go back to what they know only to find people ignore them. A number of souls carry on living at home in their unique reality, never questioning things because time has stopped while others become distressed and angry.

Poltergeists – noisy souls

The plight of a lost soul is sometimes difficult to explain because we can only relate to things from our perspective that is based on our personal history. We know we exist because other people talk back to us and this validates our existence. But imagine what it must feel like to be invalidated, ignored and not having a voice? Imagine the anger and frustration of not being able to change your circumstances? What do you do when you’re incredibly lonely and find yourself living in a hellish limbo?

Anger is a forceful emotion – it accumulates deep within us until we reach breaking point and it’s unleashed. Imagine releasing anger and discovering the force of your anger makes things move. Angry lost souls who’ve learnt how to harness and direct this energy in the physical world, manipulating objects at will are called poltergeists. The ability to move objects is an amazing phenomenon considering the amount of sheer force it takes for ethereal beings to move physical objects. Lifting a piece of paper or picking up a shoe and tossing it across the room is extremely difficult for lost souls to do due to the simple fact that it feels like they’re lifting something that weighs a ton. It’s like a person trying to carve a hole into a solid block of steel with their bare hands – it seems impossible. Yet quite a few angry lost souls do it – they can make things fly through the air, switch lights on and off and shake beds in the middle of the night. Anything the mind believes it can achieve, it does. Angry or noisy poltergeists have unlocked the secret on how to move physical objects by using their mind and energy to do the seemingly impossible.

People frightened by poltergeists fear them because they don’t understand the nature of their reality; they don’t know why they’re so powerful or why they wish to be so destructive and this is why some people erringly think poltergeists are evil. A clear distinction must be made between a poltergeist and an evil spirit. Just because a poltergeist wreaks havoc in a household it doesn’t necessarily follow that they must be evil because it can make beds shake. Evil spirits are an entirely different phenomenon altogether and yes they’re equally capable of making things fly across the room but they come from a completely different space – they know how to control their environment; a poltergeist is expressing its anger.

Evil spirits harness a range of energies from earth and the lowest astral level and direct this energy to exploit or hurt others at will because their derive enjoyment and a sense of power working with darker forces. The driving force of poltergeists is anger and frustration and this force created the opportunity to discover their potential to manipulate their environment to a certain extent. But this certainly doesn’t mean they work exclusively with dark forces because in most cases they don’t, they are trapped lost souls. Evil spirits know where they’re at and understand the full implications of what they’re doing and consciously work at destroying things at will.

Are poltergeists dangerous?

While certain poltergeists display remarkable ability, which could be interpreted as being dangerous especially when they’re wreaking havoc in a house, if people stopped for a moment and thought about the plight of poltergeists they would adopt a different perspective. After all, not all poltergeists are angry souls some are just noisy souls having some fun at our expense because they get reactions from us. Do you know that some poltergeists are children? There are instances where paranormal activity such as knives flying across the room is actually the antics of playful children. They do it for the fun of it all because they can do it and get away with it, there’s no parent around to scold them. Children aren’t going to evaluate their actions; they do it because it’s entertaining. Getting fearful reactions from adults who can’t work out what is going on is a bonus because they see life through the eyes of a child. These noisy souls are having fun. They’re definitely not evil by any stretch of the imagination.

Lost soul attachments

Lost souls that attempt secondary attachments are aware they no longer have a physical body and are much more aware of what is going on compared to most lost souls. If left unchecked eventually they move down the chakra system attaching to the base chakra. At this point the lost soul is firmly embedded within the recipient’s aura and is literally becoming part of that person feeding of their thoughts and feelings. This type of attachment is problematic at a number of levels in particular where the lost soul feeds its own thoughts into its host, directing their actions.
Some people diagnosed as schizophrenic technically aren’t schizophrenic because they’re not suffering from a chemical imbalance or mental illness per se; rather they have a secondary attachment imposing its will upon them. The voice, or voices, they hear in their heads doesn’t comes from severe paranoia but from the lost soul itself.

Secondary attachments can be dealt with but they tend to be much more complicated than primary attachments because the recipient may have formed a bond with the lost soul, or they don’t feel that can left go of what’s become familiar even though it’s causing them acute problems.

How to help lost souls

Metaphysics teaches us how to open up to and work within new dimensional worlds. It provides us with the opportunity to truly expand our consciousness and to embrace new concepts and realities. One of these realities is the world of lost souls. Each of us has the capacity to develop our psychic potential by working on our energies and opening up the 3rd eye chakra. We can use our abilities for a number of benevolent purposes including helping of lost souls.

Most of us have heard terms such as entity removal, lost soul retrieval and ghost busting. These terms all describe the same thing, namely rescuing a lost soul trapped in the physical or in the lower astral plane.

Entity removal

Lost souls can be removed from an aura.

An adept can help remove the lost soul from the aura and move them across to the light, if the lost soul wants. If they choose not to go to the light then they are allowed to leave the premises but they won’t be permitted to remain attached to the aura.
In most cases the lost soul happily moves into the light and returns home to the astral where it is reunited with the spiritual body and receives intensive healing and counselling before moving on to the next phase of its spiritual journey.

Secondary attachments are more complex and can become problematic because their energies have meshed with the energy of the recipient. The adept follows the same protocol as in primary attachments but becomes more involved in disconnecting the lost soul’s energy from each chakra and moves them out of the aura. At this point it’s imperative they help keep the recipient from thinking about the lost soul and explain the necessity of remaining disengaged from them. The reason for this is that over a period of time they’re formed an emotional or mental bond with them and their (lost soul) energy is very familiar to them. It can feel as though part of them is being cut away. During the next three days the lost soul may attempt to reconnect with them through the emotional and mental association and this creates a doorway so it’s imperative for the recipient to keep a clear mind and think about other things or risk opening a doorway for their return.

Locating a lost soul trapped in the lowest level of the first astral plane involves considerable psychic skill. An adept must have a good channel and work with guides on a number of levels to obtain all relevant information regarding the lost soul. At this point the adept may simply work with guides and angel helpers by using their focus and channel as the connective link and leave the rest of the work to spirit for lost soul retrieval; or they can astral travel into the lowest astral level and search for the lost soul by focusing on a mental image of them or be guided by their spirit helpers. Once they’ve located the lost soul the astral body of the adept communicates with the lost soul explaining what is happening and how they can help them return home. As in all instances the lost soul has the right to exercise their free will as they see fit. We cannot force them to leave this realm, or any other realm for that matter, against their free will even though they may be experiencing a lot of pain and trauma. The rights of the individual must be respected at all times.

Meditation

Meditation is a technique that allows higher communication with the inner self and inner communication with the Higher Self.

Meditation is a powerful technique that can be used to facilitate personal and spiritual development because it works simultaneously on a physiological, psychological and spiritual level.
On a fundamental level meditation can be used to create desired changes within the physical body, for example, improving the body’s immunity level. The regular practice of meditation can produce considerable psychological benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety and provide clarity and focus.

But the true benefit of meditation can be found in the role it plays in speeding up the otherwise gradual process of spiritual awakening.

Gerber says, “Meditation holds the key to understanding the interlocking nature of the physical, astral, mental, and higher spiritual selves. Each integral energetic element works to assist the soul in developing its many facets and to understand its own true higher nature,”* which is why it can be used to help us move toward self-actualisation. Man’s “capacity to attain self-realization in the supreme experience of enlightenment”** is made possible through the practice of meditation because meditation allows us to move into a deeper reality of the self where the inner and outer self are united as one, where a sense of time and space are abolished and the egoic sense of self consciousness is transcended. All that remains is a melding of our consciousness with the infinite consciousness of the creator.

How does meditation work?
Meditation works by inducing a state of consciousness that is neither a waking state nor a form of dreaming, it is a connective state, a bridge between two worlds of reality. A number of noticeable changes in the mind, body and spirit occur during this deep state of expanded consciousness.

Physiological effects in the body include:
greater control of the autonomic nervous system,
coherence of brain wave activity between the left and right cerebral
hemisphere
reduced metabolic rate
changes in blood chemistry
improvement in the body’s immunity
increase in alpha and theta wave activity (preferred states for
expansion of consciousness)

Psychological benefits of meditation include:
improved focus
improved sense of control
reduced stress
reduced anxiety
inner communication
greater ability to self-actualise

Spiritual benefits include:
bridging the inner and outer self
clearing and realigning chakras
raising the vibration of the subtle bodies
expanding consciousness into different dimensional realities
opening the 3rd eye channel
opening the doorway to higher consciousness
helps facilitate the process of enlightenment

Meditation provides the space in which we can communicate with the inner self, our inner tutor who sheds light on the true nature of each situation.
Knowledge imparted by the inner self helps us find resolution to any pressing issue and liberates us so we are able to move on to higher, spiritual aspirations.

Meditation can be used to accelerate the opening of the chakras and improve their alignment with the physical and subtle bodies. It provides a focal point from which to access information from present and past incarnations and helps us establish a good line of communication with spirit guides and angelic beings and, specifically, to enhance communication between the higher self and the lower self that leads to the self-actualisation process and ultimately, enlightenment.

There are two main meditation techniques students can employ to facilitate deep personal and spiritual changes. In the East, the preferred technique is that of passive meditation otherwise know as mantra meditations. This form of meditation focuses on repetition of sound or thought, or single, focused visualisation, using vocal or internal mantra. In the west it is guided visualisation. This active form of meditation focuses on visual interaction within the mind as it reaches out to new dimensional realities and incorporates the use of symbolism, archetypal energy, etc. Both forms of meditation are beneficial and achieve similar outcomes. Individual development and evolution are the aims of both techniques, despite their different approaches.

Metaphysics

(Notes from a Brief History of Metaphysics – a philospohical perspective of western metaphysics)

Meta means beyond physics. The term Metaphysics was coined by the ancients Greeks. Aristole, a Cosmologoist, had written a book on physics. He was concerned with the nature of the universe. He was also concerned with Casuality. Aristole however, failed to cover three fundamental questions that the ancient Greeks wanted answers for. The questions are:
“What are the attributes of God?” eg: “What is Zues like? (remember the ancient Greeks were polythesists)
“Can Free-will be reconciled with Fatalism?”
The question of immortality…

Aristole wrote at length to uncover the answer to these question and produced an untitled book. This untitled book, which was comprehensive, didn’t answer all three questions, the nature of each question demanded so much attention. When the book was realeased, the then day publishers simply called the untitled book “metaphysics” literally beyond physics. Aristole had gone beyond physics.

Metaphysical terminology:

EPISTEMOLOGY – metaphysics

2. Questions:
Fundamental Cosmological questions
Fundamental Ontological questions
Fundamental Existental questions

Answers

Subsets of METAPHYSICS

COSMOLOGY ONTOLOGY TELEOLOGY

Cosmology deals with the origins and nature of the physical universe. Cosmology exames the structure and the course of nature through systems and order. Heruclitus asks a cosmological questions when he asks “Why is there a Cosmos rather than no cosmos at all?
Herdegger asks “Something rather than nothing?”

Ontology is a subset of Metaphysics. Ontology means “being” that which is. The prevebial ontological question is “What is the meaning of life?” It is concerned with why there is a state of being, rather than not being.
Socrates asks ontological questions when he asks “What is the purpose of life? (this questions also touches upon cosmology); “what is the purpose of my life?” A personalised ontological question would be “What ought I do with my life?”

EXISTENTALISM deals with the concept of freedom. An existental question is one that asks “Am I free?” or “Is my life fated?” and “Am I a responsible human agent or is my life swayed by external forces?”

There are several branches in philosophical . We are concerned with Metaphysics and Epistemology. Epistemology deals with Truth and Doubt – what we claim to know, believe and so on. It is what we believe to be our truth whether it is our personal truth, a cultural or national view, a global truth or a universal truth.

ANSWERS:

F.C.Q. Why is there a cosmos rather than no cosmos? Heruclitis argues “because the universe is governed by Logos (Logos the prinicple order, the source of order. In spiritual terms – generated by the word, the vibration of the universal creator)

FATE AND FREE WILL
Liberterians - believe in Free will
Fatalist - believe in no control over destiny
Determinists - Causality

How these three can be connected to Karma and the types of karma? – pre-birth karma (fatalism); Determinists – causality = applied karma – exercising our will over events, understanding that all our actions will have a reaction.

Absolute Free will? Does such a thing exists? Or is the best we can derived is a determinists control to subdue or subtle alter pre-birth karma? To be an absolute libertarian one has to have the power to manifest both in the astral and in the physical plane to direct events to their own will.

Near Death Experience

A near death experience (NDE) is the profound metaphysical experience a person has during the brief period when they are clinically dead. Not everyone who has a close call with death has an NDE but those who do have very similar experiences. They share a common thread – they’ve had a life-transforming experience that has freed them from the fear of death, increased their capacity to love and feel compassion and helped them find a new life direction. But more importantly it has given them a firm belief in life after death.

NDEs are a part of the collective experience of the human race. What happens during an NDE? The sequence of events in an NDE goes something like this:

Separation from the body:

In the first stage of an NDE a person becomes aware they are outside their body. They are “detached” from the trauma of being separated from their bodies and have no sense of alarm.

Life recall

While having an NDE some people see their entire life flash in front of them and watch it as though they were watching a movie. This summation of life may only take moments but it seems timeless.

Travelling

People experience movement, a sense of travelling very quickly up into a dark tunnel. Many report seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. What lies at the end of the tunnel?
Descriptions of what this place looks like vary from person to person. Some people describe it as looking very much like it does on earth, with beautiful trees and ponds, only much more luminous. At the lower, formative levels of the astral plane, what we see is a familiar environment that can readily be identified by the conscious mind.

Close Encounters

Many people have reported encounters with ethereal beings - spirit guides and even deceased family members.

Old soul and new souls

There are new souls and there are old souls. New souls are just starting their journey on earth and tend to see life through base chakra consciousness because they are learning about being physical and building on that foundation. Old souls have been reincarnating for thousands of years and tend to be much more spiritually focused, coming from third eye or crown chakra consciousness.

Each soul is evolving and it doesn’t really matter how long the journey takes because there is no set time for the evolution of the soul. Time is a construct of the physical world. In spirit, time ceases to have any real relevance. Consequently it doesn’t really matter how long it takes for a soul to get from ‘new soul’ to ‘enlightened soul’.

Our soul chooses to reincarnate to experience different lessons that life on earth can teach us.

Poltergeists

Noisy souls

Lifting a piece of paper or picking up a shoe and tossing across the room is extremely difficult for lost souls to do due the simple fact that it feels like they’re lifting something that weighs a ton.

A clear distinction must be made between a poltergeists and an evil spirit.

Prophecy and prediction

How does prophecy work? Is it different to a prediction? And why do some predictions come true and others don’t?
The main difference between prophecy and prediction is prophecy doesn’t involve the use of any mantic system such as the tarot to tell the future. Lots of psychics work with their intuition but use the cards to enhance their focus. Other psychics tend to prefer to clairvoyantly channel all their information. Both prophecy and divination reveal the future. However, there isn’t just one and only outcome in any given situation. There are a number of potential outcomes and this is why some predictions never come true. Psychics usually tune in to the best possible outcome but the eventual outcome really depends upon what we choose to do – how we exercise our free will to make something happen or to stop it from happening.

One point to remember is that the probability of an event changes as soon as a prophecy exists. Many myths and folktales have instances of prophecies and curses reaching fulfillment due to the efforts of those involved avoiding their predicted fate. If we take a negative prediction to heart by continually focusing on it happening we can actually make the event happen. This is a fatalists approach.

Every prediction depends upon the underlying thread of karmic energy. This karmic energy may have its origins in pre-birth karma or in karma presently manifesting from actions we’ve taken during this life. Therefore it is essential to understand the intricate relationship between karma and free will with regard to current and future events.

It’s not uncommon for someone to come back and ask a tarot reader, “Why didn’t the job you predicted me getting in the fashion industry happen?” Ask them a simple question, “What did you do to make that prediction happen?” A prediction represents a potential path but it is up to us to make it happen or to stop it from manifesting. A new job isn’t going to appear out of nowhere. The opportunity is there but they might not see it and take advantage of it.

However, in saying this it must be noted that if an event is based on pre-birth karmic energy there is a strong likelihood the event will manifest but we still have the option of how we choose to react to the situation. The best way to handle any trying situation is to understand why such an event is placed on our path and how to deal with it in a positive manner to move through it.

Spirit Guides

From the moment we are born we are near people who teach and try to help us because they love us. They may include our parents, grandparents, teachers and friends.

From the moment we are born, we are also surrounded by a group of benevolent beings that teach us and try to help us along our life path because they love us. The only difference is that these beings don’t live in the physical world!

Have you ever sensed the presence of someone standing behind you only to turn around and find nobody there? Maybe you have felt an invisible hand touching your shoulder? Have you ever wondered what these sensations were?

These benevolent beings of light are our spirit guides.

A few years ago a young boy fell from a ten-metre high cliff in the Blue Mountains. When the rescuers came to his aid, they were very surprised to find him alive, and even more surprised to see that he hadn’t sustained any major injuries. The boy told the rescuers that as he was falling he heard a voice calling out to him, a comforting voice telling him to relax, that he would be fine. As he was falling, he kept listening to this voice talking to him, keeping him relaxed.

When his body hit the ground he didn’t sustain the injuries one would expect from such a fall because his body wasn’t tense. Just as the voice promised him, everything was fine!

Spirit guides are always with us and always ready to help. All we have to do is to learn how to listen to them.

Symbolism

A symbol stands for or represents something that expresses, “through suggestion, an idea or mood which would otherwise remain inexpressible or incomprehensible.” Jung believed symbols revealed some unknown reality and held relevant psychic content. Universal symbols, symbols inherent in our collective psyche, stem from the collective unconscious and the collective conscious.

As a collective, mankind unconsciously taps into a generalized network of symbolism, or universal symbols – a language understood by the spiritual body. Apart from common archaic symbolism shared by the collective, variations in the meaning, or interpretation, of symbols can be found in different racial, social and cultural structures. Another significant factor is personal perspective that tends to layer, or give multiple meanings to, a specific thing.
A universal symbol could be something simple like a house. When you dream about a house, or your home, it represents the authentic self. How do you feel in this house? Are you comfortable, frightened or restless? How would you personally interpret feeling restless in the house?

The symbolism of a house can be expanded by examining the condition of the house – is it a new mansion or a rambling old shack? Where is the house situated? What are the predominant rooms appearing in the dream – what is the function of the room and what is happening to you in this room? For example kitchens represent the need to feed and nurture the self and to look after our physical body. Bathrooms represent a need to wash away an issue, release emotion or a desire to spiritually cleanse the self. Upstairs represents the super conscious that reflects the higher self, spiritual awareness and you’re your head-space in general. The ground floor represents conscious thoughts such as current daily issues and problems. Downstairs represents the subconscious and reflects deeper or repressed emotional states and beliefs.
Where is the house situated? Who is in your house? Is it full of friends or crawling with strangers? Ask yourself, “Am I being invaded? Am I allowing people to take advantage of me? Do I respect my home (self)?

The symbol of a snake can mean one thing to a native living in the Amazon jungle and something completely different to someone living in a concrete jungle.
In Christian based societies the association of snakes with evil is derived from the biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. All innocence was lost after the snake tempted Eve to take one bite of the apple from the Tree of Knowledge (life). Corrupted by desire, Adam and Eve are banished forever from the Garden of Eden. Therefore, at a collective level in Christian societies, snakes symbolize evil and deception, temptation and sexuality. Interestingly, desire and temptation and repressed sexuality are all issues associated with the Spleen chakra.

In this case the negative association of snakes is culture specific, but it isn’t necessarily a universal association. Snakes can symbolise positive things. The logo of two intertwining snakes of the medical caddeus symbolises the healing fraternity and in classical Indian esoteric literature the serpent represents the Kundalini energy coursing its way up from the base chakra through the chakra system symbolizing different levels of spiritual awakening. In dreams snakes may represent femininity, significant life changes - the shedding old skin (self) to reveal a newer, fresher aspect of the self or a personal fear, or an aspect of the self, we’re uncomfortable with.

When interpreting a symbol remember to exercise care and not rely wholly on universal themes for a concise interpretation because dreams need to also be taken in personal context and involve a complex reality. If someone else interprets your dream they may risk taking it out of context because a personal symbol to them may have an entirely different meaning to you. We are our own best analysts – the soul is reaching out to the conscious mind illuminating the path.

Synchronicity

Jung describes synchronicity as a situation where there is no apparent causal connection between two events, but nevertheless a meaningful relationship exists between them.

Synchronicity reveals that there is a link between our inner world and the outer world. It shows us that things just don’t happen accidentally, that there are energetic relationships between two events.

When you are out of synchronicity with your soul’s desire, when your chakras are blocked, it is as if you are on a repeat cycle – different time, same lesson.

When things fall into place at the right moment, at the right time, a doorway opens.

Synchronicity is always occurring, it is just not always obvious to us. But if we are open and intuitive we can appreciate the moment as it is happening.

Every moment is synchronised, it just depends on your awareness of it.

Tarot

The tarot is an intricately linked system of archetypal figures that advocate both the perfection of human potential and human weakness. The origins of this complex system of divination can be found in esotericism that stretches back thousands of years ago. The tarot is closely link to the hidden schools of knowledge such as the Jewish mystical Kabala and the ancient Egyptian book of “Thoth”.

The standard tarot deck is a mantic system of divination consisting of 22 trump cards, each card being attributed to one of the 22 Hebrew letters, and 56 cards divided into four suits. Each suit corresponds to one of the four elements, the four-kabalistic worlds, and the four letters of the Tetragrammaton. The 22 major arcana cards represent archetypes within the collective consciousness of mankind and reveal the path to self-knowledge through the Tree of Life (Kabala).

The major arcana cards use symbolism to convey not one meaning but numerous connotations at very deep levels. The depth achieved by a reader naturally enough depends upon their ability to utilise their intuition to tune in to the appropriate interpretation of the archetypal symbolic cards of the arcana. The word archetype means original pattern or form. Some people use this term to designate the original astral form or “mold” of phenomena. An archetype is a theme, motif or idea that universally represents the fundamental expression, or psyche, of the unconscious mind.

The Tarot represents the spiritual journey of life. A Jungian interpretation of the major arcana splits the trump cards into two sets. The first set, from the Fool (0) to the Wheel of Fortune (10), is concerned with our individual responses to the outside world into which we are born, and with the development of a personality. Then is a turning point, appropriately located in the wheel that represents karma and change. The second set of trump cards begins with Justice (11) card. At this stage we become aware of the consequences of our actions and decide to move away from the distractions of the outer world to explore the depths of the inner world. We discover wholeness and happiness through self-actualisation represented by the World. The number 22 represents totality - all knowledge of God, wisdom and truth.

The 56 cards of the minor arcane are divided into four suits.
